Surf Taco is a thriving eatery native to the Jersey Shore. In just 8 years, they have grown to 8 locations. At that pace, they came to us in need of a website, or better yet, a central hub for their marketing efforts. The goals were to make it more interactive, search engine friendly, and better looking, all while encompassing the originality of the brand.
What We Did
We took this ‘anti-brand’ to the next level by incorporating many of their physical brand elements into the site. You will notice many random stickers, artwork, photos, and graphics laced throughout the design, just as you would if you entered one of their many shops. The site was designed to be an extension of their slogan, ‘good food, good people, good vibe’, and visually enhanced by their originality (check out the pirates). The site was met with rave reviews and acceptance on the exclusive award site WeLoveWp.com.

Built on WordPress, the site was extended to encompass a unique layout and blog for its individual locations, as well as being integrated with social media sites likeTwitter & Flickr. We also incorporated live video (surftaco tv) and a changeable section in the footer to update promotions on the home page. This gives Surf Taco the central hub they need to properly engage their target audience on the web.
